By joining this project you'll become part of a large, technically advanced team working toward huge impact. Our team works with modern web technologies and uses widely accepted standard practices in agile software development. 

This project is currently split into two sub-teams: the front end and the back end. We do weekly sync-ups  where the entire group gets together to be briefed on the overall status of the project and give input on product direction, then sub-team focus sessions are held to give hand on support to individual team members and small groups. The leaders of this project, along with all of our members, are open to guiding people of all skill levels as they work toward building cool new features into the platform!

We are aiming to design and implement a social networking web-based system which connects members to communicate thoughts, share context and manage projects in one place across different Dev platforms. 

As this project is **user centered** and **front-end based**, you will be fast-tracked into modern web technologies such as: JavaScript, React, NodeJS, HTML, and CSS. Your creative side will also shine as you will be creating functional and visual components and prototypes that our users will interact with DAILY!

Dev User Profile 

Help us create the backend infrastructure for the website you're currently on!

In this project, you'll be helping develop the backend systems to allow our platform to make a huge impact! We'll be using Strapi which is a headless CMS that will help us develop at rapid speeds! We'll also be using other modern web technologies such as node js, PostgreSQL, Docker and using REST API principles to develop the backend.

We'll have weekly meetings where we meet with the front-end team to discuss the platform's direction and status and have a special backend-focused meeting where you can get one-on-one help.

Site Backend

We're building a platform that inspires people to build cool software project ideas that will follow the Dev Launchers ethos. This platform will be able to take in ideas from members of Dev Launchers, display these ideas for other users to interact with, and finally allow members to adopt others' ideas.

Often people have ideas that they do not have the bandwidth to address. These ideas will be further fleshed out by engaging members of the community. With our idea hub, we can brainstorm better, interact with other members' dream software projects, and build more together!

This team is all about creating a stable, well-defined framework for other teams in the organization to utilize. This is done via developing shared components and functionalities, along with providing support and guidance to other teams in order to assist them in getting up to speed using the framework.

## Importance of The Role
Dev Launchers is building the platform that helps people from diverse backgrounds transition into a technical career. As the lead for the new Quality Assurance (QA) team, you will lead the technical direction of the testing architecture.

## Quality Assurance Team
This is a new team to build out the testing infrastructure for the platform. You will work with other teams to design unit, integration, end-to-end tests and production monitoring. You will help other teams adopt best practices in debugging and documentation.

- Must be able to understand the vision of the project at a high level, and be able to develop and implement a maintainable, flexible, and extendable backend of the platform/product.
- Must be willing to work closely with the Product Owner, UI/UX Lead, and Frontend Lead to bring platform functionality to life.

We use Strapi as our API service and Postgres database to support multiple frontend projects. Currently the team has a product manager and 3 developers.

- Work with the Platform Enablement team to make it easy for frontend teams to test API integrations
- Be the driver of technical decisions
